Biography

Randy received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University in 1976. In 1981, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Birmingham School of Law where he ranked among the top ten students of his class and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While in law school, he received two American Jurisprudence awards for excellent achievement in the study of law. 

In 1983, Randy was certified by the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a registered patent attorney entitling him to practice before that Office. Prior to becoming one of the founding members of Allison, May & Kimbrough in 1985, he served as an engineer for a large Alabama firm for nine years where he progressed to the position of engineering specialist on the managerial staff. 

Experience

Randy is a past president of the Shelby County Bar Association and a member of the Birmingham Bar Association and the Alabama State Bar Association where he has served on a number of committees. He is involved in various legal and community activities and associations and has been an active member of the Volunteer Lawyers Program for over fifteen years. Randy is also a 2009 graduate of Leadership Shelby County and is the recipient of the 2011 Special Projects Recognition award from Birmingham Bar Volunteers Lawyers Program for pro bono legal services.
