Biography

Rebekah McKinney earned a B.S. from Vanderbilt University in 1991. She received her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1995, where she was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.

Rebekah McKinney was admitted to the Bar of the State of Alabama in 1996 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

Rebekah McKinney is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Alabama Association for Justice and the Madison County Inns of Court. She is a past President of the Alabama Association for Justice (formerly the Alabama Trial Lawyers), and serves on its Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Huntsville Rotary Club, and a member of Class 28 of Leadership Huntsville. She was elected to serve as a Bar Commissioner to the Alabama State Bar for the 23rd Judicial Court and is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Alabama Appleseed Center for Law and Justice. She has served as a past president and Board Member of the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, the Treasurer of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, Secretary and Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Early Works Museum in Huntsville, Alabama as Finance Vice President and Treasurer of the Junior League of Huntsville, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Alabama Constitution Village Foundation.

Ms. McKinney is the proud mother of three boys, Sam (10), Griffin (8) and John (8).
