Biography
Erika Tatum is a graduate of Florida State University. She
attended the Cumberland School of Law where she was a member of the Henry Upson
Sims Moot Court Board, Honor Court, and the American Journal of Trial Advocacy.
After obtaining her J.D. degree, she worked as a judicial clerk for the
Honorable E. Byron Smith, Georgia Superior Court. She joined the firm in
February 1999.
Experience
Erika Tatum’s represents numerous boards of education across
the state of Alabama and handles cases involving all matters pertaining to
students with disabilities, including discipline, identification, evaluations,
and providing appropriate educational services. Erika’s litigation experience involves the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, and other related laws.
