Prior to joining the firm, George Thomas practiced in the firm of Thomas and Thomas Attorneys from 1977 to 1988.
Experience
George W. Thomas is a member of the firm’s Commercial Real Estate and Bankruptcy practice groups. With over thirty years experience in real estate law, George Thomas represents lenders, buyers, sellers, developers and title insurance companies.
George Thomas’ practice involves commercial purchase and sale agreements, closings, leases, financing, title examination, title insurance, heir property, mechanic’s and material man’s liens and foreclosures. In the area of real estate litigation, George Thomas handles cases involving petitions for sales for division, ad valorem tax redemptions, boundary line or other title disputes, bills to quiet title, claims of adverse possession, and condemnation actions.
Outside of the area of real estate, George Thomas handles creditors’ rights issues for both debtors and creditors including work outs, debt restructuring, and forbearance agreements.
